Lauren Winfield-Hill says England must give themselves time to adapt to Test cricket after India’s dominant victory at Lord’s exposed the gap between the sides.

England were absolutely hammered at Lord’s, but we’re expecting them to be good at something they just don’t do.
There were some brilliant scenes across those four days.
Yatika Bhatia and Kranti Gaud getting on the honours board, Sophie Ecclestone’s five-for, and Amy Jones scoring two fighting fifties.
Those are iconic moments, and for young female cricketers they will be brilliant memories. But the game as a whole was a bit of an anti-climax.
Bad timing
To start with scheduling, the timing of it clearly wasn’t great, having it straight after the T20 World Cup final.
