South Africa could host 2019 Indian Premier League

The could be moving to once more in 2019 if rumours are to be believed.

As per The New Indian Express, the 2019 edition of the franchise tournament could be held in South Africa for the second time to avoid clashing with ‘s general elections.

The second edition of the tournament was similarly moved to South Africa in 2009 due to the timing of general elections that year.

It is also believed that the will be brought forward in 2019, possibly to as early as the third week of March, so as to ensure that top international stars can take part and then rest ahead of the , staged in from May 30 next year.
