NEW ZEALAND skipper Sophie Devine has announced she will be retiring from ODI cricket after the World Cup later this year.
Devine, 35, will lead the White Ferns at the showpiece event in India and Sri Lanka, which begins on September 30, and, while no longer being centrally contracted, she will remain available for T20Is under a casual playing agreement with New Zealand Cricket (NZC).
Having debuted as a 17-year-old back in 2006, Devine has gone on to amass 3,990 runs in the format, hitting eight centuries. She has also taken 107 wickets, sitting second behind Lea Tahuhu in her count...
