Mark Butcher: Balance the key for England’s unproven attack

When England named their 14-strong squad for the first Test against India at Headingley, the surprise inclusion was Jamie Overton, who hasn’t played a Test match since his debut against New Zealand three years ago.
He’s only played three red-ball games for Surrey over the last two seasons but as a tall, quick bowler, he fits the profile England are looking for, particularly after Gus Atkinson was ruled out of the first Test with a hamstring injury.
