Former Australian Test batter and now Durham’s director of cricket Marcus North will be announced as England men’s national selector ahead of the New Zealand Test series according to multiple reports after final interviews took place last week.

Former Australian Test batter and now Durham’s director of cricket Marcus North will be announced as England men’s national selector ahead of the New Zealand Test series according to multiple reports after final interviews took place last week.

North will leave Durham, where he has been since 2018.
The 46-year-old played in seven Ashes matches in 2009 and 2010-11 and will be the first non-Englishman to be appointed an England team selector.
He will replace Luke Wright, who relinquished the role for personal reasons after the Ashes last winter.
