As the World Cup comes ever closer, it’s almost time to start making predictions for which team is going to come out on top.
Last year, for the T20 World Cup, we all got it completely wrong by being boring and going straight for Australia as ever, so this year I’m keeping my cards close to my chest for a bit longer.
Having said that, looking at Australia’s squad, it will be hard to choose anyone else as obvious front runners.
It feels like every squad they announce is a perfect blend of seniority and exciting youngsters.
