News in Brief: Zimbabwe make welcome return to England

Twenty-two years after their last official tour of England, Zimbabwe are returning for a one-off Test match at Trent Bridge starting on Thursday.

They have not played a Test against any of England, India or Australia since 2005. Back in 2003 at Lord’s, James Anderson made his Test debut and picked up the first of his 703 Test wickets, having made his first-class debut the year before.
Incredibly, Anderson is still running in hard and on Friday he started his first game of the season at Old Trafford against Derbyshire, and was inevitably back amongst the wickets.
