Whiteman’s Headingley home from home

BATTER SAM Whiteman, Yorkshire’s new signing from Australia, made his debut against Glamorgan this week, and as Guy Williams reports, Sam’s back home after 30 years.
Yorkshire cricket, traditionally hard and ruthless, has always admired Australia’s similar approach to the sport, and in Whiteman, 34, the captain of Western Australia, Yorkshire CCC have the best of both worlds.
