As Yorkshire youngster Tom Loten knows all too well, navigating the age groups at county level can be like playing a game of Snakes and Ladders – it’s easy to find yourself back at square one.
But rather than being discouraged after being dropped at under-14 level, the disappointment only made Loten work harder on his game and come back even stronger.
