Sussex and Middlesex hope T20 buoys season

SUSSEX and Middlesex have ripped it up in the T20 Blast this summer and will hope that injection of confidence can reinvigorate their underwhelming red-ball campaigns.
The pair clash at Hove and know they will need to get a wriggle on if they are to have a realistic shot at promotion in the final weeks of the season. For Sussex in particular, it has been a bruising campaign. They sit eighth in the table with just two wins from ten games and their last three matches have resulted in heavy defeats to Durham, Lancashire and Northamptonshire.
