England’s rollercoaster ODI series against South Africa summed up where they currently are as a side.

They were woeful at Headingley where the Proteas, despite not having several of their best players, blew them off the park, skittling England inside 25 overs and knocking off their target with ease.
South Africa were good, but they weren’t that good.
It was a hugely disappointing performance from Harry Brook’s side, made worse by the fact that the Leeds crowd had turned up in force, hoping to see a good performance from the home side.
