Walking the 30 seconds from the Tube station to The Oval last Tuesday afternoon, it felt like there was a carnival in town. Music blared from the ground so loudly that the whole structure felt like it was shaking 200 metres away. On the concourse, tents were up, merchandise stalls packed with special edition stock, while food trucks belched a concoction of delicious fumes.
