If you want to invoke an air of old-fashioned class, elegance and intellect, dress your character in a cricket sweater.
From Brideshead Revisited and The Great Gatsby to Doctor Who and Haircut 100, the classic cream cable knit jumper has been used to suggest something of a superior air—especially if draped over the shoulders.
OK so it is not infallible, but you must admit Love Plus One was a decent pop diversion, and it was the ‘80s for heaven’s sake.
