Somerset are taking nothing for granted in white-ball cricket, despite winning a third T20 title on Finals Day last month.
The West Country side chased down Hampshire’s total of 194 with an over to spare at Edgbaston.
A magnificent 94 off 58 balls from Will Smeed proved to be the difference as Somerset got over the line to match the tally of Hampshire and Leicestershire’s Finals Day triumphs.
“Is there a secret to Somerset’s success in this competition? That’s a great question,” says Andy Hurry, the county’s director of cricket.
