Hampshire captain Georgia Adams has signed a two-year contract extension which sees her remain at the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Adams, 32, is one of the most decorated players in the domestic game.
She has won six trophies with Southern Vipers, the regional team based at Utilita Bowl from 2016-2024, and won The Hundred with Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, and Trent Rockets.
She has also been victorious in the WBBL in Australia, winning the title with Adelaide Strikers in 2023.

The all-rounder led Hampshire to the final of the women’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup in 2025, the first year of professional women’s county cricket, following an unbeaten century in the semi-final against Surrey at Utilita Bowl.
Adams said: “I absolutely love playing my cricket at Hampshire and Utilita Bowl, this club is practically my home.
“As a club, we have a great record in both formats of the game along with a reputation of developing players for both club and country.
“I’m delighted I can continue my career with Hampshire as we look to reach another 50-over final on our home ground come September.”

All-time leading run scorer
Adams began her career at Sussex, where her father Chris forged a 20-year career. She represented the Martlets in 52 List A and 66 T20s from 2009-2023.
For Southern Vipers, Adams is the team’s all-time leading run scorer and most capped player.
A continuation from the Vipers into Hampshire as a Tier One side means Adams has scored over 4,000 runs for the club since her debut in the 2016 Women’s Cricket Super League.
She has also taken 156 wickets for the club out of 252 career wickets.
This summer, she claimed her second-best career figures of 4/16 against The Blaze in the Vitality Blast behind her 4/11 for Southern Brave in the 2023 Hundred.
She earned various call-ups to England representative sides before earning a full international cap in 2024 when the Three Lions played Ireland on the Emerald Isle.

Leader
Adam Carty, Regional Director of Women’s Cricket, said: “Georgia is the cornerstone of women’s cricket here at Utilita Bowl, and we are delighted she will remain here for at least another two seasons.
“She is our leader, both on and off the field, and has showcased her match-winning ability on numerous occasions with bat and ball for the club.
“She is a vital part of our plans for the next phase of our journey, and we look forward to seeing her continue to flourish here at Utilita Bowl.”
Outside of the UK, Adams has a successful career in Australia where she has featured in two WBBL seasons, with her first being Adelaide Strikers’ title-winning season of 2023.
She has also represented New South Wales and led the state to the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) trophy in 2025.
Adams is also a three-time winner of The Hundred with Oval Invincibles (2021), Southern Brave (2023), and now with Trent Rockets, where she was named Player of the Match in the final against Sunrisers Leeds on Sunday 16 August.
