County by County 2026 Season Preview – Division One – Essex

Overall, it was a disappointing season for Essex. Injury and availability problems hampered the County Championship side, and at the halfway point of the season, there was a threat of relegation rather than a title challenge.

They also really struggled to get off the mark in the T20.
