Salt looked fearless as ever at the top of the order for England, starting well with a 23-ball 37 against the Aussies before meagre returns against Oman and Namibia, although his innings of 12 against Oman came off just three balls as England looked to boost their net run rate. 87 not out against the West Indies to guide England home in the Super Eights was the highlight.
