FOLLOWING AN abject defeat in the series opener at Headingley and a narrow loss at Lord’s, England romped to a record-breaking win in the third and final ODI against South Africa at Southampton.
It may have been a dead rubber, but the hosts produced a scintillating all-round performance to emerge victorious by 342 runs, the biggest margin of victory by runs in the history of men’s ODIs.
