England's star spinner Sophie Ecclestone has announced she will take a break from domestic cricket to both manage her ongoing quad injury and “prioritise her wellbeing”.
The left-armer was omitted from the squad for the current white-ball series against West Indies by incoming head coach Charlotte Edwards to ensure she could recover fully from a knee injury.
She had been playing in the Women’s Premier League in India earlier in the year when she suffered the injury which meant she missed two months’ cricket.
