Getting a trophy in the cabinet in the Tier Two One Day cup final last weekend was the perfect sign off for this season before we move up into the big league next year.
The final itself was a rare example of common sense prevailing in cricket.
Twenty-four hours before the final when we were travelling down, I was called to the front of the bus and told that reducing the match to 20 overs was being discussed because it was going to hose it down at about lunch time.
