Chandrasinghe makes early impact

VICTORIA BATTER Ashley Chandrasinghe has settled into life at his new club Edgworth as he helped the Greater Manchester League champions to a five-wicket win over Royton.
After bowling out Royton for 109, Adnan Ghaus taking 5-40, Edgworth chased down their target in the 28th over, Chandrasinghe finishing 42 not out at no 4 to see his side across the line.
Then, on his T20 debut in the Middleton Associates GMCL20, he took 4-15 with his leg-spin to help bowl out Egerton for 112.
Edgworth had earlier posted 226-2, Will Turner top scoring with 94; Chandrasinghe contributed 8 not out.
