In February, I travelled to Cambridge to attend the third Cricket Research Network Conference, an academic initiative featuring cricket research projects, ably fronted by the historian and journalist, Raf Nicholson.
The day comprised a feast of 20-minute presentations on a range of topics, with women’s cricket featuring prominently.
In a room overlooking the immaculate Fenner’s ground, timeless in its picturesque surrounds, we were treated to a high-quality event and an information overload.
