It makes me smile to see that support for non-league football is growing. It’s a nod to the non-conformist and reminds me of the comfort I find in the resurgence of interest in vinyl among the younger generation.
I’ve been made aware of this football revolution by a number of my friends, young and old, who compete to chronicle obscure football grounds, sending ‘where am I?’ photographs of two-rowed grandstands in remote, grim-looking fields.
