ENGLAND’S MOST popular cricketer, Mark Wood has brought the curtain down on his England career, ending an 11-year international journey marked by extreme pace, major trophies and the propensity to succumb to, and then come back from, serious injury.
The 36-year-old Durham quick announced his retirement on Tuesday, saying medical advice meant Test and 50-over cricket were no longer possible.
