Wily Berg is showing no inkling of slowing at 38

GARETH Berg is in no rush to usher in the end of his playing career – and is now hoping to get a contract extension that could see him playing into his forties.
The South Africa-born allrounder was in inspirational form as Hampshire reached their second Lord’s final in two seasons with a win over Lancashire at the Ageas Bowl on Sunday.
The 38-year-old engineered Lancashire’s downfall, taking 5-26 as the visitors crumbled from 199- 4 to 241 all out.
He then helped Hampshire over the finish line with 18 not out at almost a run-a-ball.
