Mark Butcher: Where are the rock-star spinners?

It’s been a tough summer for the slow men, in a tough era full stop. Take Ravindra Jadeja. It has been striking how little effect he has had across the series.
Much the same could also be said of Shoaib Bashir, although he took some important wickets, including the last one at Lord’s, and then Liam Dawson at Old Trafford, while he offered good control, was similarly neutered. If anything, Washington Sundar has looked the most threatening of the lot.
