The ECB has announced a review into the structure of men’s domestic structure which could see the number of County Championship matches reduced to 12 from as early as 2026.
The findings of the review, which will have greater involvement from the counties than 2022’s Strauss report, are likely to be announced in two to three months and 12 out of the 18 counties will need to vote in favour of any changes.
