Wedding daze: Depleted Loughborough struggle as skipper gets hitched

There's an unspoken rule in club cricket: don’t get married during the season. Naturally, not all players abide by this, one being Loughborough Town skipper Shyam Patel.
Not only did Patel – who skippers Loughborough’s first team in the Premier Division of the Leicestershire & Rutland League – arrange his wedding on the same day as his side’s clash with Oakham, he also invited eight of his teammates!
As a result, Loughborough went into the game effectively fielding a second eleven and unsurprisingly, things didn’t go their way.
