Weather won’t dampen Porter’s call-up chances

JAMIE PORTER isn’t worried Essex’s bad weather hoodoo will cost him an England call-up – as his prolificacy in recent years has laid the groundwork for Test honours.
Fast bowler Porter added Championship scalp No.190 since the beginning of 2015 during the draw with Hampshire, which already takes him to double figures for this season – in effectively a match and a half of action.
