Two defeats in a row for Cheshire champions

CHESHIRE CHAMPIONS Nantwich started their title defence with two consecutive losses after going down to Brooklands by five wickets and then Timperley by 59 runs.
In the opening fixture of the season, Brooklands’ Todd Walker hit 68 before skipper Kevin Carroll blasted a 17-ball 41 as newly promoted Brooklands knocked off 216. Spencer Byatt’s 75 went in vain for Nantwich.
Chasing a target of 214 against Timperley, the champions were bowled out for 154, Chris Page claiming 4-34 while there were two-fors for both Nathan Brown and Zach Thompson.
