Level-headed: Ashley Giles

THE appointment of Ashley Giles, as the ECB’s director of England cricket, has not been met with unanimous approval with some saying he lacks the requisite imagination for the job.
Aside from the unfortunate conditions of his appointment, after Andrew Strauss stepped down from the role to tend to his sick wife, now sadly deceased, the main criticism seems to stem from Giles’ time as an England player.
