A very easy pick. Alan has got a remarkable record, particularly when you consider he played on uncovered pitches and without a helmet for the vast majority of his career.
No one has, or will, get anywhere near the number of runs he scored for Glamorgan. He passed 1,000 in a season on 23 consecutive occasions and got 250 scores of 50 or more in his career.
