Surrey have a coup in Tahir, insists Stewart

DIRECTOR of cricket Alec Stewart reckons Surrey have signed a “proven winner” in South African veteran Imran Tahir.
The 40-year-old leg-spinner has signed on for the Oval club for their 2019 T20 Blast campaign.
He will be Surrey’s second overseas player for the competition, after Australian batsman Aaron Finch, and will join them in time for their first game against Essex on July 19.
“Imran is a proven matchwinner and with his vast experience of international, county and franchise cricket will be a huge asset to us,” Stewart said.
