Round two of the Metro Bank One Day Cup on Wednesday saw two 300+ totals and The Cricket Paper columnist Lauren Winfield-Hill furious at The Oval

The Blaze 148-5 beat Lancashire 223 (Lamb 77, Ballinger 3-30) by six runs (DLS method). The Blaze avenged last season’s semi-final defeat against Lancashire in a rain-affected campaign opener. Lancashire were bowled out for 223 after being asked to bat first at Trent Bridge, despite Emma Lamb’s fine 77. The Blaze’s left-arm seamer Grace Ballinger took three for 30.
