Callum Parkinson is on good form. “Not the same as mine,” is his retort as the topic of Ben Stokes’s fitness and diet regime is discussed.
The Durham spinner has had the rare privilege of being in the same domestic red ball team as the England Test captain, for the past two matches.
Although Parkinson describes his illustrious teammate as having “an amazing cricket brain”, his own thoughts on the state of the English game reveal his acumen.
