Somerset top, Sussex shake off deduction

SOMERSET HAVE taken an early lead in the race for the County Championship title and are one point ahead of defending champions Nottinghamshire. The top two met in the opening round of the season, taking 13 points apiece in a stalemate at Taunton, before Somerset comfortably turned over Essex by 10 wickets in their second fixture.
