Phil Salt’s tasty form gives Jacob Bethell winning start as England T20 skipper
Ireland went into their T20I series versus England with an unbeaten record in the format against their neighbours – after a rained-off contest at the 2010 T20 World Cup and an Irish victory at the 2022 edition – and Paul Stirling’s side would have fancied their chances of another upset after posting 196-3 in the opener at The Village in Dublin.
