THE CRICKET PAPER understands that Kent are in the final stages of signing Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmud on a red-ball only contract. The completion of the move would represent the first appearance of a Bangladesh seamer in County Championship cricket.
Kent, who are currently third in division two of the County Championship, are expecting 26-year-old Mahmud to be in the starting XI for their next first-class assignment, at Blackpool against Lancashire on Friday.
