Northern Irish team concedes match over broken printer

BALLYSPALLEN HAD to concede their match against Eglinton in Northern Ireland’s North West Cricket Union Premier League last Saturday after a broken printer meant they were unable to produce a DLS sheet.
The hosts were on 19-0 after two overs in their pursuit of 160 to win when the rain arrived.
With overs set to be lost, the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) score needed to be calculated, but a broken printer meant that a DLS sheet could not be produced resul ing in Eglinton being awarded the victory without a further ball being bowled. The North West Cricket Union’s regulati...
