Gayle has go-ahead to be the ODI king

CHRIS GAYLE will get the chance to become the West Indies’ highest-ever run scorer after being selected for their 14-man squad for the One-Day series against India.
The 39-year-old announced in February that he would retire from ODIs after the World Cup, only to make a U-turn midway through the tournament.
He is currently 12 runs short of Brian Lara's tally of 10,405 ODI runs and will now get the chance to break the record when the threematch series begins in Guyana on August 8.
