Asalanka tons up for Sri Lanka
SRI LANKA took a 1-0lead in their three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, skipper Charith Asalanka making 106 in a 77-run victory.
Asalanka’s fifth ODI century took the hosts to 244 in Colombo and the visitors could only make 167 in reply, dismissed in 35.5 overs after collapsing from 100-1. Spin was the Bangladesh’s undoing, leggie Wanindu Hasaranga taking 4-10 and Kamindu Mendis chipping in with 3-19.
