National club prelims underway

THE PRELIMINARY rounds of the ECB National Club Championship got underway last weekend with matches taking place across the 16 regional groups.
In Group 1, there were wins for Benwell Hill, Seaham Harbour, and Hull Zingari, earning them a place in Group 1 proper when the full competition kicks off on April 26.
Group 2 saw victories for Pudsey St Lawrence, Darlington, and Stamford Bridge, while West Bridgfordians and Sleaford won in Group 3. Shepshed, Cutthorpe, Newtown Linford, and Swarkestone got through in Group 4 and New Brighton, Padiham, and Cheetham Hill triumphed in Group 5.
