Mum and son turn out for Hornchurch

HISTORY WAS made in the Essex League last week as the mother and son duo of Lucy and Charlie Lehane took the field for Hornchurch 5XI against Woodford Wells 4XI.
Opening the batting, young Charlie made 27 in Hornchurch’s total of 139 all out. Callum Key top scored with 30, while mum Lucy was bowled first ball down at No.9.
Woodford Wells comfortably reached their target one wicket down in 18 overs, Sebastian Knuckey making 76 not out.
