Three centuries and 633 runs – 137 more than anyone else – and England still ended up on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline.
Vaughan was the only batter to really turn up for England on that tour.
There was a century for Mark Butcher in the fifth Test, but it was too little too late as far as England were concerned.
Tough going
Besides Vaughan, only Butcher and Nasser Hussain passed 300 runs for the tourists...
