’Mic drop’ mimic from Kohli was ‘funny’, says Joe

JOE ROOT admitted he saw the funny side of Virat Kohli’s mimic after being run out by the India captain on the opening day of the Test series at Edgbaston. Root, 27, deliberately dropped his bat in celebration after sealing England’s one-day series win with an unbeaten century at Headingley in July.
But India skipper Kohli couldn’t resist mimicking his opposite number’s ‘mic drop’ after his direct hit dismissed Root for 80 at Edgbaston on day one.
