LITTON DAS (below) has replaced Mehidy Hasan Miraz as Bangladesh’s ODI captain and will lead the side through to the 2027 World Cup. The 31-year-old already captains Bangladesh in T20 cricket and previously led them to a 2-1ODI series victory over India in 2022. Mehidy was removed after Bangladesh’s recent 2-1series defeat in Zimbabwe, having won 10 of his 20 matches in charge. Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto will remain in his role.
