Kuwait look to Gibbs for a hands-on role

HERSCHELLE Gibbs was once famously accused of ‘dropping the World Cup’ – now, almost two decades on, he’s hoping to give an unlikely cricket nation a hand in reaching one.
Steve Waugh made that comment after the South African – usually one of the most reliable fielders in world cricket – had dropped him in a semi-final that ended in unbelievable drama, and defeat for Gibbs’ side, at Edgbaston in 1999.
