“There’s never much breathing space in the English cricket summer”, chuckles Jordan Clark, the 34-year-old seamer.
He has experienced an eventful week. As an Oval Invincibles squad member at last Sunday’s Hundred final, he picked up a winner’s medal after his side comprehensively outplayed Trent Rockets.
Then at a soggy Oval on Wednesday night, despite Clark picking up two wickets in the first over of the match, Surrey were outgunned by Ravi Bopara’s spectacular century, eventually losing by seven runs.
