Harmer’s back with career best

SIMON Harmer returned to form in blistering style yesterday, taking a career-best 9-80 in 25.5 overs as Essex put the squeeze on Derbyshire at Chelsmford.
The South African off-spinner was only denied the full ten wickets by England all-rounder Dan Lawrence who followed his knock of 152 not out by getting Billy Godelman caught off his bowling.
