We shouldn’t be surprised any more that the scenes at the end at Manchester would be blown up out of all proportion.
As with all of these things, there were two sides to it. With India having achieved the goal of drawing the game, England were perfectly entitled to say, “OK, congrats, well done, you were too good for us. Let’s call it a day.”
And India, in turn, were justified in staying out there to get their two guys – Jadeja and Sundar – up to their hundreds.
